Physical Therapy & Chiropractic

As the public and even conventional healthcare providers are coming to realize, traditional medicine may not be the answer to every health issue. This has created an increase in popularity among natural approaches, such as chiropractic care. While it is more commonly known for the incredible benefits it provides through spinal alignment, such as immunity and release of muscle tension, studies have shown chiropractic care helps to stimulate tissue growth and repair as well. That’s why it is a cornerstone of our multidisciplinary approach to regenerative medicine.

How is Chiropractic Care Used at IMAC Regeneration Centers?

Our approach focuses on restoring and maintaining your health naturally to help your body actually resist disease, rather than simply masking it and treating the symptoms. Although removing pain is an integral part of patient care, our chiropractic goals also include overall wellness, true health, and optimal performance. Our experienced chiropractors are committed to helping you achieve better health, without the need for surgery or prescription drugs.

Chiropractic care treats conditions such as:

  • Bulging Disc
  • Herniated Disc

To support health, wellness, and pain-free living in a natural way, our approach combines chiropractic care with physical therapy and regenerative treatments using stem cells or platelet rich plasma injections. Often patients have a medical condition which benefit, in part, from each. But, by putting these methods together, we create a synergy that can improve results versus using only one type of method.

Condition Descriptions

Chiropractic care is a common, yet effective therapy for conditions such as a bulging or herniated disc. In fact, studies have shown chiropractic adjustments help to stimulate tissue growth and repair. That’s why it is a cornerstone of our multidisciplinary approach to regenerative medicine.

It’s an approach that goes beyond removing pain. Our chiropractic goals also include wellness, true health and optimal performance. Our experienced chiropractors can help you achieve better health in a natural way, without the need for surgery or prescription drugs.

What’s the difference between a bulging disc and herniated disc?

Both conditions affect the intervertebral disc, which is the cushion between the vertebrae in your spine. Each disc has an outer layer of tough cartilage surrounding the soft cartilage inside. The spine compresses with age, which results in increased pressure on the discs.

A bulging disc is a disc that has moved outward beyond its perimeter. While only the outer layer of cartilage is affected, the moment the bulging part of the disc comes in contact with the nerve, pain sets in.

A herniated disc, on the other hand, occurs when the outer layer of cartilage cracks and allows some of the inner layer of cartilage to protrude out of the disc. This can not only cause pain, but can damage surrounding nerves as well.

Both conditions can cause back or leg pain, tingling or numbness, and even decreased range of motion. But, it is much more common to experience such symptoms when it is a herniated disc rather than a bulging disc.

A Natural Approach to Treatment

Traditional treatment for a bulging or herniated disc includes pain medication, or, in severe cases, surgery.

Taking Patient Care Further

At IMAC, our approach focuses on restoring and maintaining your health naturally, rather than simply treating the systems. That’s why we combine chiropractic care with physical therapy and regenerative treatments using stem cell or platelet rich plasma injections. Often our patients have a condition that benefits, in part, from each. By putting these methods together, we create a synergy that can improve results versus relying on one method alone.
