NASHVILLE — Boston Red Sox pitcher David Price is partnering with IMAC Regeneration Center to open outpatient movement clinics in middle Tennessee. The initial David Price IMAC Regeneration Center is scheduled to open next month in his hometown of Murfreesboro.

IMAC Regeneration Center is a regenerative medicine clinic providing a combination of sports medicine and natural therapies to primarily address arthritis, soft tissue damage and chronic pain.

Dr. David Smithson will lead all medical procedures in the clinic. Smithson has decades of experience as a physician, including a sports medicine fellowship under Dr. James Andrews before serving as team physician with the Auburn University Athletic Department.

“I’m excited to be a part of the medical outcomes using IMAC Regeneration’s non-surgical options for orthopedic conditions, as well as patients that are challenged by Parkinson’s, ALS, and MS,” Smithson said.

Price was the first pick of the 2007 MLB draft from Vanderbilt University and has directed a number of charitable efforts.

“David’s athletic achievements and compassion for the Nashville area make him a great addition to the IMAC Regeneration Center team” said Jeff Ervin, CEO. IMAC Regeneration Center Founder Matt Wallis added, “We have treated patients from Nashville for years so bringing our innovative treatments to Tennessee with David Price is another winning combination.”

IMAC Regeneration Center clinics include the original location in Paducah, as well as the Ozzie Smith IMAC Regeneration Center in Chesterfield and St. Peters, Missouri. Additional clinics in Murray, Kentucky, and Brentwood, Tennessee, are slated to open in 2017.

The David Price Center will open Feb. 20 at 205 North Thompson Lane. More information is available at www.davidpricecenter.com.
